Call for Speaker Proposals for 2nd Annual SE WI Safety Conference on Oct 20th at UWW

Do you have a special experience or expertise in any EHS topic?

Have you ever thought about presenting for a safety conference?

On Friday, October 20, 2017, in collaboration with UWW Student Safety Organization (SSO), Wisconsin and Badgerland Chapter ASSE, OSHA, WisCon, Waukesha Area Safety Council, Lakeland Safety Council and Jefferson County Area Safety Network you can be part of the second annual Southeastern Wisconsin Safety Conference at UWW – Hyland Hall.  We will be holding Five – 50 minute sessions with 5 concurrent topic options = 25 excellent speaking opportunities. The first annual conference in October 2016 sold out on the second day of sign-up with 170+ attendees, this year’s event will be bigger as we have more room with total event capacity being raised to 300! We’ve reserved an entire wing of state-of-the-art classrooms for this year’s event, so attendees will be comfortable and speakers have seamless technology!

If you are wondering what area to present in, here are the 5 areas we will be needing topics:

  1. PPE sessions (innovative/current products and updates on standards, demonstrations)
  2. Safety management
  3. OSHA compliance – Silica, OSHA recordkeeping, Walking/Working Surfaces. LO/TO, etc.
  4. 101 track – WC 101, safety committee set-up, how to do a JSA, accident investigation, etc.
  5. Professional track – tie in ethics

Here is the proposed schedule with each speaker period containing 5 topics:

8AM – 8:45AM – Keynote
8:45AM – 9:15AM – Vendor time
9:15AM – 10:05AM – Session 1
10:15AM – 11:05AM – Session 2
11:15AM – 12:05PM – Session 3
12:05PM to 1:05PM – Lunch, Networking and Vendor time
1:15PM – 2:05PM – Session 4
2:15PM – 3:05PM – Session 5
