Divisional Director of Environmental Health & Safety (11/10/08)

Our Client, located in the mid-west, is a multi-million dollar wholly owned subsidiary of a privately held corporation that is a world leader in the design, manufacture and marketing of highly engineered equipment and services sold primarily to customers in the energy industry. The company offers products and services used to produce, transport, process, and distribute oil and gas and their by-products. The parent company is a global business with an established sales presence in over 100 countries with manufacturing or service facilities in over 22 countries. The Director of Environmental Health & Safety will report to the divisional President and is responsible for directing activities in environmental management, occupational safety and health, industrial hygiene, site security and product stewardship in a 1 million sq ft unionized manufacturing facility. The Director of EHS will also interface with the Corporate EHS Director who is located at a headquarter site. The position is responsible for 2 locations in the same community with a combined employee base of approximately 1,000. The Director EHS will directly manage a Safety Coordinator and Environmental & Security Supervisor.

Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 40% of the time is required.

Risk Control Supervisor (10/23/08)

This is a home office position but requires travel.

Church Mutual Insurance Company is a property/casualty insurer specializing in protecting religious organizations including worship centers, schools, camps, and colleges, as well as senior living facilities.

Responsibilities: Hire, develop, train and oversee assigned risk control representatives in the field. Set standards of performance and conduct scheduled employee performance evaluations including salary adjustments. Work closely with the Risk Control Manager in the organization and continued development of the Risk Management Department. Conduct desk reviews to assure quality of assigned risk control representatives’ work and service to policyholders and work with each risk control representative in the field at least once each year.

Qualifications: At least five years of successful commercial risk control experience. A four-year college degree is preferred; however, consideration will be given to a two-year degree in a program related to risk control. Professional designation of ARM, CRM, CSP or CPCU is desired. Continual personal development of risk management knowledge and professional skills is necessary. Must have solid interpersonal skills, strong judgment and decision-making skills, good organizational skills and the ability to negotiate solutions. Strong leadership skills – including the ability to mentor others – and communication skills are mandatory. Senior EH&S Manager (9/16/08)

Safety Coordinator (9/16/08)

This position is responsible for supporting the overall environmental, health, safety and ergonomics programs, identifying and evaluating hazardous conditions and practices. This position will support a program that ensures compliance with state, local, and federal regulations and prevents associate injuries and loss of property.

Essential Functions:

1. Review written safety programs, with supporting policies and procedures that comply with local, state and Federal OSHA regulations. Take proactive steps to confirm that workplace conditions comply while ensuring that all required records are properly prepared and maintained.

2. Ensure the timely and cost effective completion of all assigned safety-related work and projects to maintain a safe and hazard-free work environment for all associates. Identify hazardous workplace conditions and remove hazards. Protect associates by guarding, revising work procedures and/or requiring the use of protective clothing and personal equipment and other appropriate measures.

3. Conduct all appropriate safety training and education programs for supervisors, managers and associates, including new hire safety training orientation, in a timely manner. Maintain accurate and up-to-date training records and documentation.

4. Assist in the prompt investigation of all work-related accidents, injuries and near misses. Resolve any issues related to why/how accidents occurred. Ensure timely and accurate accident report preparation for internal and/or external use.

5. Assist in the management of Maysteel’s workers’ compensation loss control program including monitoring claim levels, reducing costs, and facilitating early return to work.

6. Manage the facility Safety Committees to ensure important safety initiatives are executed in a timely manner.

7. Perform frequent audits to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

8. Coordinate and perform all OSHA mandated testing and training programs and industrial hygiene testing.

Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Health, Environmental or a related field of study with a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience is required. Theoretical and practical knowledge of all state and federal regulatory standards including OSHA, NIOSH, EPA and DNR is required.

Scope: This position is responsible to provide safety, loss control and environmental support for the Maysteel Allenton and support our Columbus and Menomonee Falls facilities.

Training Manager of Safety Systems: Wind Energy, Industrial, Construction (9/16/08)
