Jerry McGinn, 3/17/38 - 4/16/08

Jerry joined ASSE in 1975, became a CSP and was very active on our chapter’s board, especially during the 1980’s and 1990’s. He was our CSP coordinator and for several years, newsletter editor. As a CSP coordinator he not only kept and distributed the study guides but before computerized testing, he would proctor the paper exams. Jerry worked in safety at Liberty Mutual, Willis-Corroon and Stokley Foods. Besides being active in ASSE, Jerry also volunteered in this church’s office, half day a week and another one day a week at a non-profit thrift store. Jerry became very ill over the past several years suffering from Parkinson’s and heart disease but remained cheerful and upbeat. He is survived by his wife, Pat, a son, daughter and grandchildren. Our chapter extends its deepest sympathies to his family for their loss.
