Gateway Technical College along with the Milwaukee Area OSHA office, the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) Wisconsin Chapter, and WisCon will be once again offering the 5th annual Safety Day at Gateway’s Racine Building Conference Center on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 from 7:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. The ability to maintain a safe and secure workplace is essential to worker safety. This conference is designed for employees and managers of businesses in general industry to provide the resources and information to enhance safety through awareness, design, delivery and evaluation. Topics this year include OSHA I2P2 Record Keeping, Ladder Safety, OSHA Walking Working Surface, Electrical Safety, Safety Apps, Life Safety-Emergency Crisis, Ergonomics, Lock Out Tag Out, Workers’ Compensation and Active Shooter. Cost of $20 includes morning welcome session, 3 training sessions, lunch, networking and vendor displays.
